John Bunyan , Pilgrims Progress

Bunyan wrote The Pilgrim's Progress whilst in prison , the first part was published in London in 1678 and the second part in 1684. He had begun the work in his first period of imprisonment, and finished it during the second. 1728 was the year when the two parts combined in one volume was first published .
